Speaker:  Nieshia McClain Brown, LPC with Birmingham Anxiety & Trauma Therapy.

Nieshia is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Alabama.  She works with individuals, couples, and families.  She has been a Master's Level Counselor for over 6 years in an array of settings including, but not limited to, agency settings, in-home settings, and therapeutic residential settings.  She has a diversified therapeutic background that utilizes techniques from cognitive behavioral theories, client-centered theories, reality-based therapy, and motivational interviewing.

Nieshia is a wife and a mother of two daughters.  When not counseling, she enjoys spending time cooking and traveling.  One of her personal endeavors is to educate the public about mental illness with the goal of reducing the stigma of seeking help in times of crisis.
